Fibre Glass Translucent Roofing Sheet
Generally used for skylight in between main metallic roofing sheets. Fiberglass reinforced translucent skylight sheets are available in regular roofing profile with inbuilt wire mesh and without wire mesh and also in any required strip, type, size and shape. We suggest in built wire mesh as it provides extra strength and safety while working. It reduces the chances of accident and even sheet thickness is maintained throughout.
Available thickness: 1.5 mm to 2 mm, 3 mm
Length: 1 m up to 5 m in various shades.
Test Results of pure natural colour clear FRP sheets:
- Thickness - 1.1 mm Light Transmission Factor: clear translucent - 75%, milky white - 35%, lightly tinted - 60%
- Tensile Strength (longitudinal): 955 kg / cm2
- Impact strength (carried out on longitudinal test pieces) in Izod type testing machine on test specimens of - 69.6 kg cm.)
- Punch shear test (on longitudinal) pieces a) diameter of punch - 12.7 mm
- Shearing stress: 1286 kg/m2
- Thermal expansion: 1.1 x 105 F
- Water absorption: 0.08% in 24 hrs at 20 degree
- Chemical resistance: Resists most of the gasoline oils, fumes, smokes, weak acid, weak alkalies and other solvents
- U.V. Transmission: Absorbing to a large degree
- R.P. sheets are made per customers required quality and rate.
- Commercial grade FRP sheets are available and made of F.G.P resin matt of any form
- Good quality FRP sheets to be made by U.V. stabilized roof light grade polyester resin and powder bonded matt of reputed brands like Binani, Ovenscorning, Vitrotex, saint Gobain and Catalyst are used for pilogrip, priti or equivalent. Accelerator should be of aryavat, pilogrip or any other reputed brand
- As far as possible, constant thickness should be maintained in the sheets
